The project
A full kitchen remodel in Bellaire with a contemporary look. Flat-panel oak cabinetry runs wall to wall, with a black band under the uppers lit from below.
The backsplash is a full-height slab with gray veining. The island has a light countertop that wraps down one side, an oak base, and two hammered gold pendants overhead.
A professional-style range, double wall ovens, light plank flooring. No ornament, just proportion and material. It's a different direction from the white kitchens, and it works.
